Hawaian Iveron Icon to visit the US Mainland
With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop KYRILL of San Francisco and Western America and His Eminence Archbishop JUSTINIAN of Naro-Fominsk, Administrator of the Moscow Patriarchal Parishes in the USA, we are honoured once again to welcome the miraculous Myrrh-Streaming “Hawaiian” Iveron Icon of the Mother of God to San Francisco. The miracle-working Icon will join us for the feast day of St Nicholas of Myra and the Holy and Great Feast of Pentecost.
This Icon (a paper copy of the Montreal-Iveron Icon), in a span of just under three years, has healed through the grace of God a great many of both spiritual and physical sufferings, including; cancer, blindness, kidney failure, demonic possession and even certain death.
The "Hawaiian" Iveron Icon, as She is known, will be in San Francisco from May 21-23. She will then travel to South Canaan, Pennsylvania to the St Tikhon of Zadonsk Russian Orthodox Monastery for the 106th Memorial Day Celebration from May 28 to 31. There She will be venerated by bishops of the Orthodox Church in America, the monks and visiting clergy and faithful from various dioceses. The “Hawaiian” Icon will return to Her ROCOR home chapel in Honolulu on 1 June.
The churches and the monastery that will be hosting the Mother of God's Icon are:
St Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral and the Holy Virgin Russian Orthodox Cathedral "Joy of All Who Sorrow" in California and St Tikhon of Zadonsk Orthodox Monastery and St John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Cathedral in Pennsylvania.
