Let God arise and let His enemies be scattered!
It was reported from Strasbourg yesterday, the eve of the feast of Sts Constantine and Helen, the finder of the Holy Cross, that of forty-seven European States only ten have so far joined Italy in the campaign against the centralised atheist tyranny of the European Court. These eleven countries are demanding that the European Court of ‘Human Rights’, as it calls itself, annul its decision on behalf of a Finn living in Italy against the presence of crucifixes in the classrooms of Italian schools.
The countries fighting against this new bout of stavroclasm (the rejection of the Cross), apart from Italy, are: Armenia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Lithuania, Malta, Monaco, Romania, Russia and San Marino. As can be seen, these countries are either Orthodox or else among the last bastions of the vestiges of Orthodoxy in Europe.
O Lord, save thy people and bless Thine inheritance, granting victories to Orthodox Christians over their enemies and preserving Thy dwelling-place by Thy Cross.
